About MomGuide+

Care that stays with you between visits

MomGuide+ is a companion app for pregnancy and the first year postpartum. Moms log how they’re feeling and get clear guidance on what to do next. When a symptom needs attention, their care team is alerted.

Meet the founder

Hi, I’m Lindsay Malek, RN, BSN, founder of MomGuide+.

I’ve been a registered nurse since graduating from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2012, and I’m licensed in Texas, Ohio and Nevada. I started on a 48-bed high-risk antepartum unit at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas. There I cared for moms with preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, preterm labor, twins and sickle cell disease, and I helped families plan for going home.

I then spent seven years at Option Care, triaging patients by phone and managing high-risk obstetric cases, including pregnancy-induced hypertension, gestational diabetes and hyperemesis. That work taught me how often a mom is unsure whether a symptom is worth a call, and how much can change between visits.

Earlier in my career I worked in pre-admissions and discharge planning, and as a patient advocate at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Across all of it, my job was to help patients understand what was happening and make sure the right person heard about it in time. I’m also a member of the Texas Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association.

I built MomGuide+ to do that job between appointments.

What we believe

  • A mom should never have to wonder whether a symptom matters.

  • Technology should support care teams, not add to their workload.

  • Your health information is yours. We protect it, and you can delete your account at any time.
